The last time I had been to Monte Resegone didn’t go perfectly. There was a desire to return, this time along an easygoing trail, and in the best weather conditions: a sunny day in late September.
In reality, there were still some issues, such as realizing upon arriving at the Brumano parking lot that two out of three backpacks had fallen out of the car trunk back in Milan when we started. Fortunately, we managed to retrieve the backpacks within a couple of hours and return to Brumano at a reasonable hour.
From Brumano to Punta Cermenati
The trail from Brumano to the summit, passing by Rifugio Resegone and then Rifugio Azzoni, is devoid of technical difficulties. Mostly winding through the woods, it’s ideal for the summer months. The ease of the trail makes it quite popular, but our delayed start allowed for a more peaceful ascent, enjoying the summit in solitude.
From Punta Cermenati to Brumano
The descent is even simpler and straightforward, as the path is well-marked and not particularly steep.
