This trail is not particularly well-known, likely because the peaks it crosses are not particularly challenging or famous. However, as is often the case with underestimated things, these peaks can offer immense satisfaction. From their summits, it’s possible to enjoy a breathtaking 360° panorama.
On days with excellent visibility, one can discern the silhouettes of the most beautiful mountains in the area, as well as some massifs of the Alps. Specifically, the view includes Sasso Gordona, Monte Lenno, Galbiga, Monte Crocione, Northern Grigna, Grignetta, and Monte San Primo, with the splendid distant presence of Monte Rosa.
About the trail
The trail is not heavily trafficked, and some sections may have a significant amount of foliage or dry branches, requiring attention during the journey. Aside from this, the path is generally wide and well-visible. It is not overly exposed, although shaded segments may have long tongues of ice, necessitating proper equipment such as crampons.
The only somewhat challenging section encountered is the descent from Mount Pasquella, extending beyond the Pianello farmhouse, where one must pass through a small gate and navigate a rugged path along the property boundary to reconnect with the final part of the trail.
