On this occasion, we chose a delightful hike with an elevation gain of approximately 800 meters instead of targeting a summit ascent. We left our car in the convenient parking area in Erve, a charming village nestled at the base of Mount Resegone.
Setting out from there, we followed the path leading to the Alpinisti Monzesi refuge, where we only took a brief pause before continuing our journey towards Cima del Fò. In the vicinity of the Giacomo Ghislandi Social Hut, we encountered several fellow hikers gearing up for the numerous via ferratas on this side of Mount Resegone. However, as our aim was not to engage in climbing, we opted for a loop of sorts, directing our steps towards Monte Magnadeno. Subsequently, we descended to the car park via a scenic and highly enjoyable trail.
About the trail
The trail we followed is fairly accessible and does not require advanced hiking experience. However, you must be careful not to take the wrong paths to avoid inadvertently finding yourself tackling the via ferratas without the appropriate equipment.+
